Offers low income programs for the regions of George, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Stone. Call to apply for energy bill assistance/LIHEAP and other aid, such as senior meals.
Gulf Coast Community Action Agency, Inc. offers an array of programs. Community Service Block Grant, Head Start, Federal Emergency Management Assistance (FEMA), Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Homeownership Counseling, HUD Housing Counseling, Emergency Shelter Grant, Working On Winning Workforce Investment Act Program, and Earned Income Tax Credit Services.
These programs offer a variety of social services that include case management, emergency services, housing, employment health services, early childhood education, nutrition, transportation, income management, and tax preparation. Families also have access to community resources, job training, and direct support.
